Hello! Today I have another card to share using the July Simon Says Stamp card kit. There are so many great things you can do with this kit... I still have so much product to use up even after creating a couple of cards!
To create my card, I used the cute little sailboat die to create a water scene with a few boats floating along in the water.
I diecut three of the boats from a piece of Ivory cardstock that came in the kit and then I created the water underneath. I stamped the wave border with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then added Peacock Feathers distress ink with an ink blending tool, making sure to stay below the waves.
I coloured all of the boat pieces with Copic markers and then inlayed them back into the negative piece to create a one layer panel. I just added some scotch tape to the back behind the boats so the pieces had something to stick to.
I stamped the sentiment on the water area, added a small stamped red heart and the twine from the kit tied into a bow around the panel. I love the dimension it adds to the card. The stamped piece is on a red cardstock mat and adhered to the card base with foam adhesive.
