November 2015 | Paper Doll Layout

Hello! Today I have my November paper doll layout to share! I knew awhile ago that I definitely wanted to do the movie Frozen as we headed into the colder months so I decided this month would be perfect, even though we've had some pretty warm temperatures this year lol! We haven't seen a single snowflake yet which is pretty uncommon here in Canada. ;)

I didn't have any dolls that look exactly like Elsa so I used the Valentina doll since she looks wintery and I just put her in colours similar to what Elsa wears. I also made sure to make part of her dress sparkly. ;)

I knew without a doubt that I would never be able to draw Olaf (did you see the Phantom mask last month?!?) so I decided to use a free printable colouring page that I downloaded at Disney Family here. I just shrunk it down a bit to make it the size I needed, and then I printed it on a piece of text paper to match the doll.

I coloured them both in with Copic markers (skin: E00, E11, E51; her hair: YR30,E41, E50; Olaf: C2, C3, C7, E59, E49, YR12, YR16, YR18). I stamped her dress and boots onto aqua sparkly paper and patterned paper and cut the pieces out and adhered them to her dress. I used grey Copic markers to add shading to both her dress and boots.

Once I had them both coloured and cut out, I made snow drifts with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border dies and Neenah Solar White cardstock and adhered them to the background. The background is a patterned piece of paper from Webster's pages that I trimmed down and printed the quote on. It's one of my favourite parts of the movie! ;)

I adhered them both onto the layout with liquid adhesive and then I added snowflakes (really old snowflakes that I've had for years) and clear sequins with silver Stickles all over the layout to look like snow. I also added Glossy Accents to both Olaf's and Elsa's buttons.

To see how I created the layout, you can watch the video below:

Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you next month for my December page! ;)
