Hello! Today I have a card and video to share as part of the Pretty Pink Posh 2nd birthday celebration! I am so excited to be joining a bunch of amazingly talented ladies to help Paulina celebrate 2 years of amazing products and inspiration! ;)
For my card I decided to use the adorable bird image from the Holiday Pals stamp set, an umbrella from the Rainy Days stamp set and the new Storybook 3 die to create a cute little shaker scene. I wanted to make it look like it was raining (with the sun coming out) in the scene and have the little bird look like he was under an umbrella.
To make it look a little more realistic, I stamped the umbrella on the background piece and coloured it and then I added another one on top of the acetate window once I had the shaker card completed. This makes it kind of look like it's floating and that the bird is under it. ;)
Once I had the bird and the umbrella stamped and coloured on the background piece, I masked them both off and added some blue inking for the sky and some yellow inking on the top right corner to make it look like the sun was coming out. I also used the rain stamp and added stamped rain all over the background except the area that I had inked up with yellow.
I stamped the sentiment in the top right corner with black ink. I just laid the window over the background piece to make sure I had the sentiment positioned perfectly inside the little window.
I added an acetate piece to the back of the Storybook 3 diecut window and then I went around the outside of it with two layers of double sided foam adhesive. Since I needed to lay the window over the stamped scene and line it up to make sure the bird and umbrella were where I wanted them, I laid all of the shaker bits on the middle area of the scene and then adhered the window with the foam adhesive on top.
To finish the card, I added some clear sequins to the bottom of the outside cloud and I also added a couple to the top left of the card. I also added the coloured umbrella top directly over the one inside the shaker and then added some glitter to it with a clear Wink of Stella glitter marker.
