Hello and welcome to my stop on the The Ton Stamps anniversary blog hop! I am so excited to be here celebrating with Effie, the design team and the other guest designers! ;)
I created two cards for today's hop. The first card uses the beautiful new Fresh Cut Roses stamp set to create a simple, but elegant looking card. I love layering stamps and these one are definitely a new favourite!
The roses in this stamp set have three layers of stamps to create a realistic and dimensional looking rose. I decided to change it up a bit and instead of using a third ink colour for the final layer, I used Silver Pearl embossing powder. I love the subtle dimensional shimmer it adds to the card!
I used the embossing powder on the third layer of the leaves as well so the completed flower would have the same awesome texture throughout. One of my favourite things about the Silver Pearl embossing powder is that it takes on the look of whatever colour you emboss it on. So on the flowers it looks kinda pink and on the leaves it looks green.
Once I had the flower all stamped and embossed, I cut the white panel down and added it to a green cardstock mat to create a thin border on the top and bottom. I then adhered it to a gray card base that I had embossed diagonal lines on using the same embossing powder that used on the flower. I completed the card with some clear sequins for a bit of added dimension and detail.

For my second card I used the new Honey Bears stamp set to create a clean and simple card featuring a couple of the adorable bear images. I love all of the awesome little accesories that come with the bears so I decided to make it a winter themed card to go with the time of year.
I love the adorable expressions on the bears faces and I thought the 'beary sorry' sentiment went perfectly with the bear sitting down, looking up at the other bear. Since I wanted the card to be one layer of stamping, I stamped the larger bear first and then masked him off to stamp the smaller bear. Once I had them both stamped, I coloured them in with Copic markers.
I stamped a scarf and a hat from the stamp set, coloured them, cut them out and adhered them to the two bears. I absolutely love the toque on the bears head... I just think it goes so perfectly with his facial expression. ;)
I stamped the sentiment underneath the bears with black ink and then I added some shading with markers. I adhered the stamped panel to an aqua cardstock piece and then adhered the whole thing to a gray card base.
Thank you so much for stopping by for my stop on the anniversary hop! Make sure to keep hopping along to see lot's of amazing projects from all of the designers taking part! ;)
