MFT May Release Countdown | Day 3

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown! Today's release includes the newest Pure Innocence girl who is, as always, adorable this month.

For my card I decided to create a one layer stamped panel with masking to add some stenciled brick detail behind the girl. It's so easy to do with the coordinating die! ;)

To create my card I diecut the coordinating die for the Straight to the Point stamp set from masking paper and adhered it to the center of a white cardstock panel. I then added the Small Brick Wall stencil over top and added Pumice Stone distress ink over top with an ink blending tool.

Once I was done inking, I removed the stencil and then I removed the mask. I was left with a white area in the center of the stencil slightly larger than the stamped shape. I stamped the Straight to the Point image right in the center of the masked space, making it look like the girl is standing on front of the bricks even though its all one layer.

To finish the card, I coloured the image in with Copic markers, stamped the sentiment underneath with black ink, added some white detail to herd dress and a little clear glitter to her shoes.

Thanks for stopping by for Day 3 of the My Favorite Things May release countdown. The new release will officially be available on the MFT website on May 3, 2016 at 10pm est!

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog to see what the rest of the creative team created for this months release! ;)

See you tomorrow for more countdown fun!
